Supplier Network

Locating the plant in the United States led to the creation of a North American supplier network encompassing 190 companies from Canada to Mexico to California.

Following BMW's announcement that it would build an automobile manufacturing plant in Upstate South Carolina, many supplier companies began seriously considering locating operations in the Southeast. Fifty-two BMW suppliers are now located in South Carolina within a few hours drive of the Spartanburg County plant, creating more than 10,000 jobs and dramatically multiplying the economic impact of the plant to the region.

Forty of those 52 companies chose to place new North American operations in South Carolina to partner with BMW.
